Extremely Warm, Dry Weather For November Creates High Fire Danger
Mon 11-7-2016
(Undated)-- The much above normal temperatures we've been enjoying over the past month or so, combined with little in the way of any measurable rain, are combining to create a high fire danger cross the area.
Grass and field fires had several area fire departments on the run over the weekend. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents and officials say the fires were all relatively minor and small in size.
Officials urge anyone thinking about burning to postpone those plans until measurable rain falls. Rain is the forecast this (Mon.) afternoon and tonight, along with cooler temperatures but readings that are still somewhat above normal for this time of year.
