Execution Of Search Warrant Results In Multiple Arrests (1)
(Spencer)-- The execution of a search warrant earlier this month at a residence near Gillett Grove resulted in multiple arrests. The Clay County Sheriff's Office says deputies executed the warrant on October 4th after getting a report that a man was chasing his ex-girlfriend with a chainsaw, threatening her. The man was also accused of choking a five-year-old child.
While the search was executed, authorities made contact with 24-year-old Hayley Byerly, 34-year-old Caleb Brewer and and Jaykie Harrington.
Harrington was arrested and charged with going armed with intent, domestic abuse assault...2nd offense, child endangerment causing bodily injury, child endangerment...substantial risk, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, possession of a controlled substance...3rd offense, unlawful possession of a prescription drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Brewer was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Byerly was charged with possession of a controlled substance...3rd offense, unlawful possession of a prescription drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the O'Brien County Sheriff's Office, the Iowa State Patrol and the Iowa Division of Drug and Narcotics Enforcement.
