Execution Of Search Warrant On Residence Near Terril Results In Arrests Of Two People On Drug Charges
(Terril)-- The execution of a search warrant late Sunday afternoon on a rural Clay county residence resulted in the arrests of two people on drug charges.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office says the search was conducted at 2840 330th Avenue southeast of Terril. Authorities were initially looking for stolen property. However, they also saw drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view. A second search warrant for those items was obtained and executed.
Deputies found marijuana, methamphetamine, oxycodone, hydrocodone, lithium, drug paraphernalia and stolen property.
39-year-old Billy Jo Doran, a resident of that address, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance...methamphetamine...2nd offense, possession of marijuana and possession of hydrocodone. Doran was booked into the Clay county jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond.
Also arrested was 28-year-old Paul Kenneth Davis who was also living at the residence. He was charged with possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine. He was also booked into the Clay county on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.
Authorities say Davis was also wanted on a warrant for failing to appear to serve a mandatory seven day mittimus.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office says the case is still under investigation and that more charges are expected.
