Estherville Police Dept. Implementing Some Changes In Calls For Service
(Estherville)-- The Estherville Police Department today (Tues.) announced it's implementing some changes to calls for service as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The department says officers will continue to patrol as always. As for calls for service, they're encouraging everyone to continue to call the department. However, rather than dispatch an officer to you, you may be asked if it is appropriate for the officer to contact you by telephone. If an officer needs to meet with you at your business or residence, they may ask to meet you outside.
Estherville police say the changes are temporary and will remain in place until the threat has dissipated.
The add the changes are being made to protect everyone's health and safety.
