Estherville Man Arrested On Two Counts Of Child Endangerment
(Estherville)-- An investigation into a report of child abuse has resulted in the arrest of an Estherville man.
Estherville police say they were contacted January 9th by Avera Holy Family Hospital regarding a two-year-old girl with numerous injuries on her body. The girl's mother discovered the injuries after picking her up after an overnight stay at a relative's residence. Officers reported the injuries weren't consistent with the explanation the mother was given when she picked the child up. The girl was treated by hospital staff and released to her mother.
An investigation by Estherville police and the Iowa Department of Human Services resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant on January 29th for 19-year-old Felipe Padron Triana of Estherville. He was arrested February 1st on two counts of child endangerment, both class “D” felonies. Padron Triana appeared before a magistrate and was released on a $7,500 unsecured bond.
