Emmet County Water Trails Annual Meeting in Estherville October 26th
The public is encouraged to attend the Emmet County Water Trails Association Annual Meeting on Monday evening in Estherville.
Estherville City Administrator Penny Clayton explains.
"The Association has been around since about 2006, and then it laid kind of dormant for awhile, and it was re-energized a couple of years ago, and we've been working diligently to complete our State DNR Planning Report and then we'll be able to move forward."
She notes that the association will be looking at future improvements to the water trails.
"In addition to needing to get our State Planning Report completed, we will be looking at access improvements and kiosks, and other various items of signage and marketing. Right now, we're focusing on the West Fork of the Des Moines River from the state line all the way through Emmet County. We plan to incorporate other areas of the county as well, other lakes and streams in the future."
The Emmet County Water Trails Annual Meeting will be held at the Estherville City Council Chambers starting at 6 o’clock Monday evening.
