East Okoboji Beach Traffic Stop Results In Drug Arrest
(Spirit Lake)-- The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office has released details into a traffic stop last week that resulted in the arrest of a man on drug charges.
Authorities say the stop was conducted around 10:30 pm Thursday, March 23rd near the intersection of Walleye Drive and 260th Avenue in the East Okoboji Beach area.
Upon investigating a deputy discovered the vehicle's registration had expired and didn't match the vehicle. It was also discovered the driver, 45-year-old Mark Johnson of Curlew, was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Minnesota. What's alleged to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were also found in the vehicle.
Johnson was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance...methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
