Dickinson County Supervisor Says He's Concerned Over Financial Impact COVID-19 Is Starting To Have On Some Service Providers, One In Particular
(Spirit Lake)-- A Dickinson County Supervisor says he has growing concern over the financial impact COVID-19 is having on some local service providers, one in particular.
Board Chairman Bill Leopold also represents the county on the Board of Directors of RIDES, the regional transit authority. Leopold reported at Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting RIDES lost $5,000 just last week alone as a result of a sharp decline in ridership.
Leopold says the RIDES Board will meet Thursday to talk about the situation.
Leopold added he's going to advocate to atleast keep the dialysis bus and other critical medical buses RIDES offers in operation.
