Dickinson County Polling Sites For Tuesday's Election
(Spirit Lake)-- Tuesday's (11/06) mid-term election is being described by many as one of the most significant in recent years. Polling sites across Iowa will be open tomorrow (Tues.) from 7:00 am until 9:00 pm. Jordan Moyer of the Dickinson County Auditor's Office gives a rundown on the various polling sites...
"Precinct one is at the Lake Park Community Building; precinct two is at the Waitt water facility at Lakeside Lab; precincts three, four, 12, 13, 14 and 15 are at the Expo Building in Spirit Lake; precinct five is at Arnolds Park City Hall; precincts 6 and 7 is at the Terril Memorial Building; precincts eight and nine are at the Milford Community Building East Room; precinct 10 which is Wahpeton and West Okoboji will vote at the West Okoboji City Hall; and precinct 11 will at Okoboji City Hall."
Moyer adds early voting has seen a very strong turnout in Dickinson county...
"We're at about 4,385 so far which is about a little over a thousand from the last gubernatorial election we had back in 2014."
Early voting concludes at the end of the day today (Mon.)
In addition to the various races on the ballot, residents in Arnolds Park and Wahpeton will also be voting on whether to increase the lodging tax in those communities from five percent currently to seven percent.
