Dickinson County Employees To See Pay Raise

(Spirit Lake)-- Dickinson county employees will be getting a pay raise in the upcoming year. The board of supervisors voted Tuesday four-to-one to approve a recommendation from the county's Compensation Board for a 2.3 percent cost of Dickinson county employees will be getting a pay raise in the upcoming year & living increase for elected officials. Supervisor Paul Johnson cast the lone no vote, saying the federal government isn't recognizing a cost of living increase for the upcoming year. Fellow supervisors differed, saying they feel the increase is warranted.

The supervisors then voted five to nothing to approve an across-the-board raise of 2.3 percent for non-elected county employees.

Setting salaries is a major piece in the process of putting together the county's budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
