Dickinson Co. Supervisors Approve Agreement With NWPDC To Update County's Comprehensive Land Use Plan
(Spirit Lake)-- The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors today (Tues.) approved an agreement with the Northwest Iowa Planning and Development Commission to assist the county in updating its Comprehensive Land Use Plan. Planning and Zoning Administrator David Kohlhaase told the supervisors the agency will review the plan and make any recommendations for changes to the county's Planning and Zoning Commission, which would then go to the supervisors for final approval...
"So basically anything and everything will be looked at and checked. And what we get in the end run is a copy of the new plan and then a new Iowa Great Lakes land use map as well as the county. And so we're going to be checking the existing use map as well as the future land use map as well as every page in the Comp Plan."
The supervisors also today (Tues.) approved a 28E agreement allowing Dickinson county to share the services of County Engineer Dan Eckert with Osceola county, effective from July 1st until October 1st while that county looks for a new engineer.
