Deadline To Sign Up For SBA Disaster Loans Quickly Approaching

(Undated)-- The U.S. Small Business Administration is reminding nonprofit organizations of a January 6th deadline in which to apply for federal disaster loans for economic injury caused by adverse weather conditions that occurred from March 12th through June 15th of this year. The loans are available locally in Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth, Lyon, O'Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Pocahontas, and Sioux counties.

Eligible nonprofits of any size may apply for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million to help meeting working capital needs caused by the disaster. The interest rate is 2.75 percent with terms up to 30 years. Amounts and terms are set by the SBA and are based on the applicant's financial condition.
