Crash South Of Estherville Sends Four To The Hospital

(Estherville)-- A single vehicle crash last Friday evening a mile south of Estherville sent four people to the hospital.

The Emmet County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Jonathon Benny of Emmetsburg lost control of a 2007 Toyota as he was traveling on Highway 4 about a mile south of Estherville. The vehicle struck a driveway and came to rest in the west ditch.

Benny along with several passengers...17-year-old Jourdan Benny of Emmetsburg, 20-year-old Brandi Saunders and three month-old Kyndall Benny, both of Estherville, were taken to Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville for treatment of possible injuries.

$4,500 in damage was estimated to the vehicle.

Jonathon Benny was cited for failure to maintain control.

The crash took place shortly after 8:30 pm.
