Crash On Hwy 60 Near Windom Results In Serious Injury
(Windom, Mn.)-- A collision Monday involving a Jeep Wrangler and a semi on Highway 60 northeast of Windom injured two people, one seriously. The Minnesota State Patrol says both vehicles were westbound when the collision occurred. The driver of the Jeep Wrangler, 25-year-old Avery Herrig of Windom, was taken to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls with serious injuries. A passenger, 22-year-old Rachel Herrig, also of Windom, was taken to the Windom hospital. No injuries were reported to the driver of the semi or a passenger in the rig.
The Jeep Wrangler was totaled; moderate damage was reported to the semi.
The crash took place shortly after 5:30 p.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Cottonwood County Sheriff's Office and the Windom and Mountain Lake Police Departments.
