COVID Numbers Statewide & Locally Spiking Further
(Des Moines)-- COVID-19 numbers in Iowa have once again reached a new high.
The Department of Public Health today (Thurs.) reported 1,410 new cases for the previous 24 hours ending at 10:00 am this (Thurs.) morning, along with 13 new deaths and hospitalizations reaching a new high of 482. 107 of those are in intensive care units with 49 on ventilators. Iowa's death toll is now at 1,505.
Dickinson was one of the counties in the region reporting the largest increase in today's (Thurs.) report, with 23 new cases over the past day. It brings the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic started to 659. 469 of those have recovered.
