COVID Numbers In Minnesota Continue To Rise With Even More Testing
(St. Paul)-- Minnesota again saw high totals in testing and new positive COVID-19 cases yesterday. The Minnesota Department of Health reported a new single day high of 594 positive cases yesterday, bringing the state’s total to 5,730. Nobles County saw an increase of 124 new cases, bringing their total to 864. Jackson County is up 2 to 16 positive cases, Martin County increased by 23 to 111 and Cottonwood County increased 3 to 23.
28 new deaths were reported yesterday bringing the total to 371. That ties the most deaths in a single day. There are still 8 counties in Minnesota that have not reported a positive case.
Yesterday marked the largest day of testing in the state with 4,124 tests completed bringing the state total to almost 75,000. Total requiring hospitalization is now at 1,096, with 369 of those still in the hospital. The number in ICU decreased 12 to 118. 2,282 patients in Minnesota no longer need to be isolated.
