COVID-19 Related Death Reported In Martin County, Minnesota

(Fairmont, Mn.)-- The Minnesota Department of Health has confirmed a man from Martin county has died of COVID-19. 

Officials say the man was in his 80's. His name and hometown haven't been released. 

The man had been hospitalized and had underlying conditions.

A total of five people in Minnesota have died of COVID-19 so far as of today (Saturday).

441 people in Minnesota have tested positive for the disease as of today (Saturday) with 57 cases requiring hospitalization.

Martin county is currently a hotspot in the area for the number of COVID-19 cases, with 19 positive cases reported as of today (Saturday).
