Wed 7-18-2018

(Lake Park)-- Cooperative Energy Company is announcing it's acquiring the energy assets belonging to Cooperative Farmer's Elevator, or CFE.

Terms of the deal call for Cooperative Energy Company to purchase the CFE bulk truck, the Lake Park bulk plant, the Lake Park, George and Rushmore, Minnesota Cardtrol stations and the service center in George.

The transaction becomes effective this coming August 31st.

In a news release, CFE officials say that while they greatly value the business of their energy customers, that the adjustment will allow CFE to focus attention on its core business of grain, agronomy and feed, while Cooperative Energy Company will be able to focus its operations on energy.
