Concerned Iowa Hospitals Are Nearing Their Breaking Point, Gov. Reynolds Issues Additional Mandates

The Governor's new order prohibits indoor gatherings of 15 or more people. It includes social, community, business and leisure gatherings. Outdoor gatherings of more than 30 people are also prohibited. Except for high school, collegiate or professional events, all sporting or recreational gatherings of any size are prohibited.
Restaurants and bars must close to the general public at 10:00 pm and cannot reopen until 6:00 am the following day. They may continue to offer carry-out, delivery or drive-thru after 10:00 pm.
The order also states all people two or older must wear a mask or other face covering when inside an indoor space that is open to the public and within six feet of individuals who are not members of their households. The requirement includes government buildings. Any person with a medical condition or disability that prevents wearing a mask or face-covering is exempt.
The proclamation goes into affect at midnight tonight (Mon.) and continues until at least December 10th. The full proclamation can be found online here.
