Collision On Hwy 60 In SW Minnesota Sends One Person To The Hospital
(Butterfield, Mn.)-- A Windom woman was injured in a two vehicle accident this morning on Highway 60 near Butterfield.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that around 8:15am, 19 year-old Brady Portillo or Ormsby was driving a 1999 Buick Century southbound on Watonwan County Road 5 and 53 year-old Laura Sandmeyer of Windom was driving a 2003 Honda Civic eastbound on Highway 60 when the vehicles collided in the intersection.
Sandmeyer was taken to a St. James hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Portillo was not injured. The Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
Roads were reported as snow and ice covered.
