Collision Of SUV & Semi Sends One Person To The Hospital For Health Concerns Not Related To The Accident
(Webb)-- One person was sent to the hospital after a collision involving an SUV and a semi Wednesday evening in Webb.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office says 22-year-old Austin Gray of Story City was driving a 2006 Kenworth semi northbound and 72-year-old Dennis Anderson of Marathon was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer southbound. Deputies say Anderson apparently lost consciousness and veered into the northbound lane, resulting in a head-on collision with the semi.
Anderson was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital for health concerns not related to the accident. No injuries were reported to Gray.
$8,000 in damage was estimated to Ford Explorer driven by Anderson; damage to the semi driven by Gray was estimated at $10,000.
