Collision Involving A Deer And Motorcycle Results In Serious Injuries

(Sibley)-- A Paullina man was injured late Friday afternoon when a motorcycle he was operating collided with a deer in Osceola county.

Authorities say 41-year-old Kelly Top was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson Fat Boy westbound on County Road L40 south of Sibley when a deer ran out across the road, resultin in the collision. Deputies say the motorcycle skidded about 50 feet.

Top was taken by ambulance to Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley with incapacitating injuries.

$10,000 in damage was estimated to the motorcycle.

The collision took place shortly before 5:00 pm.
