Collision In Downtown Spencer Sends Several To Hospital

(Spencer)-- A two-vehicle collision Monday at the corner of 4th Street and Grand Avenue in Spencer sent a couple of people to the hospital. Police say 38-year-old Angela Lambert of Spencer was northbound and was traveling through the intersection when she collided with a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Craig Manning of Royal. Lambert’s vehicle then collided with a light pole, coming to rest on the sidewalk in front of the Hen House.

Lambert and two children in her vehicle were taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital; no injuries were reported to Lawrence or a passenger of his.    

$5,000 in damage was estimated to a 1991 Cadillac DeVille driven by Lambert; damage to a 2006 Lincoln driven by Manning was estimated at $7,000.    

Lambert was cited with failure to obey a traffic control device and failure to prove security against liability, accident related.    

The collision took place shortly after 3:00 p.m.
