Clay County Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges Against Two People
(Spencer)-- A traffic stop late Monday night in Clay county for an alleged speeding resulted in the arrests of two people on drug charges. Upon investigating, it was discovered the driver, 46-year-old Anthony Strong of Devils Lake, North Dakota, didn't have a valid driver's license. Upon further investigation, deputies found drug paraphernalia and what's believed to be crack cocaine.
Strong was booked into jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance...crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver's license, no insurance and speeding. Bond was set at $1,000 cash or surety.
While he was being booked, Strong told a deputy the crack-cocaine and drug paraphernalia belonged to 41-year-old Theresa Allen of Nelson, Nebraska.
Allen was located with assistance of the Spencer Police Department. After questioning she was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance...crack cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Allen was booked into the Clay county jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.
