Clay County Traffic Stop Results In Arrest
(Spencer)-- An investigation into a vehicle in a ditch along a Clay county road Saturday resulted in the arrest of a Newell man.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office says a deputy was called shortly after 8:30 am to the 3000 mile of 500th Street where he found a 2002 Ford Taurus in the north ditch. The deputy also observed what's alleged to be a marijuana pipe in the front driver seat of the vehicle. Contact was then made with the driver, 22-year-old Gabriel Jacobs of Newell.
A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up about 30 grams of what's alleged to be marijuana, along with additional drug paraphernalia.
Jacobs was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance...marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to maintain control. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
