Clay County Public Health Officials Establish Coronavirus Call Center
(Spencer)-- Health officials in Clay county have established a call center to help field questions and concerns related to the coronavirus.
Clay County Public Health nurse Colette Rossiter says the center will help people determine if they meet the criteria for testing. She says if they do, they will be instructed to contact their physician.
Nate McCormick, Avera Medical Group Spencer Manager says they will not run a specimen from a patient who does not meet protocol for testing.
The call center is expected to be up and running today and will be in operation Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm. The number is (712) 264-6514 or toll-free, 800-848-0638. Also, a statewide call center is available by dialing 211 or 800-244-7431. That line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
