A new exhibit will open next week at the Clay County Heritage Center. KUOO's Becky Thoreson has details:
Clay County Heritage has announced a new exhibit which will open on July 1.
Executive Director Stephanie Horsley says the exhibit honors the 60th Anniversary of the Parker Historical Society. "This exhibit is called Closet Treasures, it's about what it sounds like. Basically at the Clay County Heritage Center, we're bringing out a lot of our different artifacts that we've had put away in our closet, in our storage, and we wanted to do that because this year is our 60th Anniversary of the Parker Historical Society and so we thought it would be a great way to honor that by showing a lot of artifacts we've collected over the years."
She notes that the Center is open with limited hours and special restrictions. "Right now, we are open Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm, and we are requiring masks to be worn, and we have extras if people don't have one for themselves. You know, social distancing, using hand sanitizer. Please check our website at claycountyheritage.org or our facebook page, Clay County Heritage, for any changes in our schedule when things might be opening up more for us."
The new exhibit will be on display through late October.
