(Spencer)-The Clay County Heritage Center is seeking artifacts for an exhibit. KUOO's Becky Thoreson has details:
The Clay County Heritage Center is seeking memorabilia to expand their exhibit.
Executive Director Stephanie Horsley explains. "Our exhibit, called Conflict, Tension and Prosperity: The Cold War Experience, is not only our current exhibit that's up, but we are looking for new items to put in the second half of the exhibit, which will open in early January and run until June 2020."
She adds that the Center will accept a variety of items. "We're kind of looking at the latter half of the Cold War, so we are looking for any stories, experiences or artifacts pertaining to the Vietnam conflict, anti-war protests, the Space Race, the Cuban Missile Crisis, even the Desert Storm conflict. These can be military items, photos or documents, whatever you think might be interesting to put in this display."
Anyone wishing to donate items should contact the Clay County Heritage Center in Spencer 712-262-3304.
