Clay County Fair Announces Theme Days For 2018 Run

(Spencer)-- The Clay County Fair has announced themes for this year's fair, September 8th-16th.

Monday, September 10th will be Veteran's Appreciation Day with a parade at 10:00 am and special program at 11:00 am. All veterans and active duty military will be admitted to the fair free that day. There will also be a special program with patriotic music at 2:00 pm that afternoon in the Events Center Ballroom.

Tuesday, September 11th will be Senior Day with $6.00 admission for fairgoers 65 and older. Family night will be held that same evening with free admission for families of all ages after 5:00 pm.

Wednesday, September 12th, will be Disability Awareness Day; Iowa Corn Day will be observed Thursday, September 13th, in conjunction with Farmer Appreciation Day at the Clay County Fair.

Friday, September 14th will be Y100 Kids Day with free admission to the fair that day for kids 18 and under; specials on the midway and special performances and activities for kids.

Science Saturday will be held on Saturday, September 15th with STEM activities for people of all ages; and the final day of the fair, Sunday, September 16th, will be Last Chance Sunday with half-price admission for fairgoers.
