CLAMP Volunteer Training Sessions Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at Lakeside Lab

(Okoboji)-Iowa Lakeside Laboratory will hold two days of volunteer training sessions for CLAMP, the Cooperative Lakes Area Monitoring Project.

Free training and equipment are provided for the monitoring project.  Volunteers are required to attend one free training session, have access to a boat, and be willing to volunteer about a half-day at least three times a summer.

Participating lakes include Big Spirit Lake, Little Spirit Lake, Center Lake, East Okoboji, West Okoboji, Upper Gar, Lower Gar, Minnewashta Lake and Silver Lake.

Volunteers are especially needed for East Okoboji, Center, Silver and Little Spirit Lakes.

Five training workshops will be offered.

Interested persons may register for Wednesday, May 31 from 9:00 to 11:00 or 1:00 to 3:00 pm, or Thursday, June 1 from 9:00 to 11:00 am or 1:00 to 3:00 pm, or Saturday, June 3 from 9:00 to 11:00.
