City Of Spirit Lake Implementing Some Changes Due To Coronavirus Concerns

Mon 3-16-2020

(Spirit Lake)-- The city of Spirit Lake announced over the weekend it's making some minor adjustments over the short term due to coronavrius concerns.

Residents who normally pay their city utility bills in person at City Hall are now being asked to use the drop box located inside the front entrance on Hill Avenue. For other matters such as tags for disposal of household items and matters related to building permits, residents are asked to call ahead to City Hall so arrangements can be made.

City officials in Spirit Lake say City Hall is NOT closed and that city business will be conducted as usual, but with those changes for now.

City services related to law enforcement, water distribution, trash pickup and recycling will continue as usual.

City officials recommend residents keep up to date with the latest information from the Iowa Department of Public Health and CDC and take personal precautions.
