(Estherville)-The City of Estherville is accepting applications for emergency grants, KUOO's Becky Thoreson has details:
The City of Estherville is making funds available in the form of emergency grants to assist local small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lexie Ruter, Executive Director with the Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce explains...
"This is a City of Estherville program. They are using local option sales tax money, and giving that to the Estherville Area Growth Partnership to disperse to small businesses in a COVID relief grant. You have to be located within the city limits of Estherville."
She notes that businesses should apply as soon as possible. "Our first review date will be May 12th so we'd like to have as many applications in as possible by then. Of course, if we don't have enough applications to disperse all the funds, we will do a second review, but if we have enough applications to disperse all the funds with the first review we will disperse is all. So, I'd get those applications in as soon as possible. It's a super simple one page application so it shouldn't take very long."
