Chief Administrator Of Prairie Lakes AEA Appointed To Serve On Children's System State Board
(Pocahontas)-- The Chief Administrator at the Prairie Lakes Education Agency based out of Pocahontas has been appointed by Governor Kim Reynolds to serve on the Children's System State Board.
Jeff Herzberg will serve on the board charged with developing and implementing a children's mental health system in the state. The board was authorized by an executive order signed by Reynolds on April 23rd of this year.
The Children's Board consists of 18 voting members appointed by the Governor. It's co-chaired by the Department of Human Services and the Department of Education. The board is required to develop a strategic plan with recommendations to create and implement a children's mental health system and to submit that plan to the Governor and General Assembly by this coming November 15th.
In a statement Herzber says he “looks forward to working with members of the board to ensure Iowans of all ages have access to the mental health care they need.”
