CCF Grandstand Concertgoers Being Told To Be Diligent When Purchasing Tickets
(Spencer)-- Those purchasing tickets for grandstand shows at this year's Clay County Fair are being told to use some diligence.
Clay County Fair Manager Jeremy Parsons says they've seen an increase in third-party buyers in recent years, making fans susceptible to ticket scalping. He says the tickets are purchased by the third-party vendors who then re-sell them at a higher value to make a profit. Parsons says ticket prices for CCF grandstand shows typically range anywhere from $25 to $60. He says they've been seeing ticket prices on third-party sites listed as high as $140 for a $48 ticket.
Parsons says it's especially important to be cautious if you're purchasing tickets online. He says tickets not purchased directly through the Fair's ticket partner MIDWESTIX online, by phone or in person at the Events Center Box Office cannot be guaranteed as valid. Parsons says the bottom line is that if you buy a ticket from a third-party vendor, you do not have a real ticket. He says those tickets will not be refunded if the event is canceled or postponed.
Parsons says to ensure you're getting tickets directly from the fair to click directly from the Clay County Fair website, claycountyfair.com, and do not use search engines. He says the only link you can purchase valid Caly County Fair concert and admission tickets is http://www.midwestix.com/organizations/clay-county-fair. He adds you should check the prices of tickets on the Fair's website before purchasing a ticket and that all communications should come from MIDWESTIX.
