Car Vs Semi Collision Sends One Person To The Hospital
(Jackson, Mn.)-- One person was injured Thursday in a collision involving a car and a semi on Interstate 90 in Jackson county.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 79-year-old Gwendolyn Biever of Pipestone was driving a 2000 Buick Century and 55-year-old Dana Raley of Tea, South Dakota was driving a 2013 Kenworth Semi. Authorities say both were eastbound with the semi in the left lane and the Buick in the right lane. Troopers say the Biever was attempting to make a lane change as the semi was coming up on her side, resulting in a collision.
Biever was taken to Sanford Hospital in Worthington with non life-threatening injuries.
The collision took place a little after 3:00 pm.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office and the Brewster Fire Department.
