Car vs Deer Collision Injures Jackson Man

(Jackson, Mn.)-- A Jackson man was injured when a vehicle he was driving collided with a deer Thursday evening on Interstate 90 and mile post 78 in Jackson county.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 38-year-old Dalmas Onyando was driving a 1996 Toyota Corolla westbound when he collided with the animal, causing him to lose control. The vehicle crossed the eastbound lanes of the interstate before going into a ditch and colliding with a tree.    

Onyando was taken to Sanford Jackson Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.    

The vehicle was totaled.    

The crash took place around 11:20 p.m.    

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
