Car Collides With Deer

(St. James, Mn.)-- A car-deer collision over the weekend in southern Minnesota sent two people to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 38-year-old Evora Liddell of Fairmont was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox on Highway 60 near St. James when the vehicle collided with a deer.

Liddell and a passenger, 12-year-old Kaylah Watson, also of Fairmont, were both taken to the St. James Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Severe damage was reported to the vehicle.

The crash took place shortly before 9:00 pm last (Sun.) evening.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the St. James and Truman Police Departments and the Watonwan County Sheriff's Office.
