Fri 6-22-2018

(Arnolds Park)-- Boji Brew Fest is coming back for a second year. Peggy Gustafson of the Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club tells KUOO news the event will be held August 4th...Boji Brewfest01

"We're really excited about it. We've been planning it, we've got a great committee of rotarians that are working on the core part of it and a lot of volunteers step up to the plate the day of the event. It was fantastic last year, so we'll be anxious to have it even better this coming year. It happens to coincide at the same time as Art In The Park which will be right near by on the green space."

Gustafson says 20 craft breweries from throughout the region will be serving up samples in the shelter house at Central Park on West Broadway Avenue in Arnolds Park...Boji Brewfest02

"We hope to have some live music going on. It's in the shelter house, or up by the shelter house in Arnolds Park along Broadway, so if it is a little rainy or a little not so great of weather, we've got the shelter house as well. But last year it was a beautiful day and a lot of great beers to sample."

General admission tickets are $30 each; VIP tickets are $45 each. A limit of 600 tickets will be sold again this year and may be purchased at Gustafson says proceeds from this year's event will once again go toward improvements at Shelby's Playground...Boji Brewfest03

"It's over on the East side of East Lake Okoboji at Elinor Bedell State Park. Shelby was a little girl who we built the park in memory of in 2001, we meaning the rotarians."

The August 4th event will begin at 12 Noon for VIP ticket holders and 1:00 pm for those with general admission tickets.
