Authorities Trying To Figure Out How A Grove Fire Near Wallingford Got Started
(Wallingford)-- Authorities in Emmet county are trying to figure out the cause of a grove fire last (Tues.) night near Wallingford.
Fire Chief Jarod Fischer says they were called to 457 St. James Avenue a little before 9:30 pm and found a large pile of debris and other items on fire. Fischer says they were able to quickly knock it down and put out some trees that were on fire.
He says no one was around when firefighters and authorities arrived.
Firefighters were on the scene a couple of hours.
