Authorities Arrest Man Wanted In Assault Investigation

            (Orange City)-- A Sheldon man wanted in connection with an assault investigation that stems back to January of this year was arrested Wednesday by Sioux county authorities.

The Sheriff's Office says 37-year-old James Earl Levi Wagner was wanted in connection with the incident.

Another suspect in the case, 29-year-old Dustin Engelkes of Sheldon, was arrested March 23rd, but Wagner remained at large. Authorities say they received tips of Wagner's whereabouts on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week which led to his arrest in Sheldon.

Wagner was charged with going armed with intent, assault with a dangerous weapon, child endangerment, false imprisonment and simple assault.

The Sheldon Police Department assisted in the case.
