(Primghar)-- An Arnolds Park man was arrested on multiple charges Monday after authorities in O'Brien county investigated a report of a vehicle that was being driven erratically on a level B road about three miles west of Sanborn.

A deputy pulled over the vehicle and reported a strong smell of alcohol coming from it. Contact was made with the driver, 35-year-old Darrell Sorey of Arnolds Park. Court documents say Sorey told the deputy he was driving erratically because he and a female passenger were having sex, and that while visiting with the deputy, Sorey kept reaching toward the door area.

Sorey was taken into custody and a consent search was conducted on the vehicle, resulting in deputies finding a stun gun.

Sorey was arrested and charged with driving with a denied or revoked license, driving while barred, carrying weapons, careless driving and operating without a required interlock device.
