An Incident Early This Past Thursday Lands Milford Man In Jail On Multiple Charges

(Milford)-- An early morning incident this past Thursday in Milford resulted in the arrest of a Milford man on multiple charges. 30-year-old James Jenkins was charged with going armed with intent, carrying a weapon...a knife, assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, criminal mischief in the 3rd degree, public intoxication, criminal mischief in the 5th degree and trespassing. Jenkins was being held in the Dickinson county jail on a $15,000 cash or surety bond.

According to online court documents, Jenkins is accused of threatening a victim with a knife and a pipe in an incident alleged to have taken place a little after 1:30 in the morning in the 900 block of Okoboji Avenue in Milford. Jenkins is also accused of stabbing the rear passenger door of the victim's vehicle, causing $1,000 to $1,500 in damage.

A preliminary hearing for Jenkins is set for July 26th in Dickinson County District Court.
