Ag Education Day to featured Distinguished Speakers March 13 in Emmetsburg 

Kossuth/Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation along with the Ag Committee and and ag-related businesses will host Ag Education Day on Wednesday, March 13 at the Wild Rose Casino in Emmetsburg.

Executive Director Maureen Elbert says the event will feature a number of distinguished speakers.  "We have David Beurle, who is a Keynote Speaker, and he's with Future iQ.  He is going to really going to talk and discuss about the future of the Midwest agricultural, and new crops and new opportunities.  Then we have Dr. Dermot Hayes who is from Iowa State University, and he's going to be discussing trade.  Chad Hart, who's also a Professor at Iowa State University, and he's going to talk on crop management.  Then we have Mike Naig, our Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, and he's actually going to be Skyped in.  We're pretty excited to hear what he's hearing and seeing out there on the overall global world. Then we have Brenda Clark Hamilton, and she is going to be talking about the Mentally Strong Ag Leaders, trying to give them wisdom and confidence and motivation."

Registration is available through the Economic Development corporation and at the event, beginning at 8 am on Wednesday.
