40th University of Okoboji Winter Games Registrations starting to fill up

(Arnolds Park)-With the 40th Annual University of Okoboji Winter Games now just over a month away, participants are encouraged to get registered for the various activities.

Kiley Zankowski, Director of Membership and Events with the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber says some of the games are starting to fill up.  "Registrations are starting to fill up, so if you haven't signed up yet, you'll want to make sure to sign up.  Of course, the Bean Bags Tournament, that one always gets completely full and we're about half way there, so if haven't signed up yet, I highly encourage you to go over to uofowintergames.com.  There's so many new tournaments this year.  There's an Axe Throwing Tournament, a Pickleball Tournament, Hammerschlagen.  There's truly something for everyone to enjoy.  So, if you head over to our website or our facebook page, you can get all the information and sign up today."

She adds that official apparel is available at several locations around the Lakes area.  "The apparel is out in all the stores now, so it's a great Christmas gift if you haven't gotten one yet or just want to celebrate Winter Games.  It's available at Hy-Vee in Spirit Lake, Walmart in Spirit Lake.  You can also get it in Arnolds Park at The Maritime Museum or The Welcome Center, at Boondocks, here at Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber or in Milford at The Three Sons."
