3A District Court Judicial Nominating Commission To Conduct Interviews Of 5 Applicants To Fill A Vacancy
(Spencer)-- The 3A District Court Judicial Nominating Commission will hold interviews February 24th of five finalists for an upcoming vacancy that will be created when District Judge David A. Lester retires March 2nd.
The finalists include Matthew T.E. Early of Spirit Lake, Melanie Summers Bauler of Wallingford, Lisa Mazurek of Cherokee, Todd Holmes of Algona, and John M. Sandy of Spirit Lake.
The interviews will begin at 8:30 am that morning in the court room at the Clay County Courthouse in Spencer.
Following the interviews, the commission will deliberate and will then vote to determine the two applicants whose names will be submitted to Governor Kim Reynolds for her consideration.
In the event of inclement weather the interviews will be held February 26th.
While the interviews are open to the public, deliberations and voting by the commission will be conducted in private.
