(Spencer)-The Ag Outlook Conference and Trade Show is coming up next week, KUOO's Becky Thoreson has details:
The 36th Annual Northwest Iowa Ag Outlook Conference and Trade Show will be held on February 18 at the Clay County Fair and Events Center.
Spencer Chamber of Commerce Program Director Becky Fear-Hatting says, several speakers will highlight the day. "Throughout the day we will have three speakers. Right away, at 9:30, will be Darin Newsom, who is a Market Columnist and Technical Analyst Blogger, and then at noon, Iowa Ag Secretary Mike Naig will be there. He's going to give a short presentation and then he is going to help hand out FFA Chapter Recognition Awards. At 12:30, we have a Panel Discussion happening, and they're going to talk about the trends in agriculture, what has been happening and what they see coming for the future. At 2:30 in the afternoon, our Keynote Speaker is Trent Loos. He is a 6th generation Farmer and a Nationally Syndicated Radio Host. Trent will have a more humorous spin on what's going on with the world of agriculture right now, and after you've listened to the markets and you've listened to the trends, we're thinking everyone's going to need a little humor."
She notes that the show will feature nearly 100 vendors. "The trade show's going to open at 8 o'clock, it closes at 4 o'clock, and also during the trade show, we're going to have over $10,.000 worth of prizes to be given away throughout the day, and then at 4 o'clock, we do our grand prize winning."
Admission is free to the show.
