The Bedell Family YMCA, Pearson Lakes Art Center and Dickinson County Conservation are teaming up to host the 2nd Annual Glow Walk on October 6.
Kylie Roth, Community Relations Coordinator with Dickinson County Conservation says the event will start at the Art Center. "You'll get to do some UV body painting that will glow under black light, and then you'll get different glow sticks and glow jewelry. Then head out on the trail that's going to be lit up on the way to the Nature Center, and then the Y is going to be doing awesome activities along the way like glow-in-the-dark bowling and glow-in-the-dark ring toss. You'll make it all the way to the Nature Center, where our lower level is going to be recreated into a glowing underwater world, and then you get to head back along the trail to the Art Center."
She adds that preregistration is requested. "We're really encouraging people to be registered by October 4. You can show up the day of, but we want to make sure that we have enough glow jewelry and supplies for everybody. So if you can register ahead of time by calling the Art Center, it's 712.332-7029, and get registered ahead of time then we'll make sure that we'll have enough supplies for you."
The Glow Walk will begin at 7 o'clock Saturday evening, October 6.
