18 Year Old Woman arrested in Sioux City in connection with alleged online threat at Storm Lake High School

(Storm Lake)-A Sioux City woman has been arrested after police in Storm Lake allege that back in January of 2019, she threatened to shoot a 15-year-old girl online.
Storm Lake Police say 18-year-old Rachel Bowman was arrested on August 7 by Sioux City Police on 1st-degree harassment. She was booked into the Woodbury County Jail before she was transported to the Buena Vista County Jail.
Authorities say that on January 10, the Storm Lake Police Department was called to Storm Lake High School in reference to a threat.
Police say a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old from the high school engaged in a social media conversation that escalated into the 17-year-old making harassing statements to the victim.
Police allege that Bowman was a part of the online conversation and threatened to shoot the victim.
At the time of the investigation, Bowman could not be found and an arrest warrant was issued.
The Storm Lake Police Department was assisted by the Sioux City Police Department and the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Department.
