Looking for a fun and educational evening with the family?…
Registration for summer camps at the Dickinson County Nature Center will open on Monday, March 2 at
8:00 AM, offering a wide variety of outdoor environmental education camps for children ages 4 (pre
kindergarten) through 8th grade.
This year’s camp theme, “From Online to Outdoors,” encourages kids to unplug and discover outdoor
adventures that spark curiosity and creativity. Camps will take place in Kenue Park, Horseshoe Bend, and
with local partnering organizations.
Families should register their children for the grade they will enter in the fall. Some camps will offer two
identical sessions, providing additional opportunities to participate in popular youth camps.
“Our summer camps offer so many engaging outdoor experiences that keep minds active and off the
screens,” said Amy Heibult, community relations coordinator of the Dickinson County Conservation
Board.
All camp registration will take place online at www.dickinsoncountynaturecenter.com under the
Programs/Events tab and Event List. More details can be found in the description of each event.
Families are encouraged to register soon after registration opens, as camps tend to fill quickly. For
questions, please call the Nature Center at 712-336-6352.
